FRP corrosion resistant liner
FRP trough, storage tank, concrete pool liner and FRP liner (or outside smear )with metal crust apply the corrosion resistant resin and fiberglass surface felt as the corrosion protection layer, and use the unsaturated polyester resin and fiberglass as the enhancing layer. It has the character of high erosion enduring, high intensity, ling using life. It is widely used in electric power, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical engineering, printing and dying, mechanism, environment protecting and other industries’ storage tank, acid clean storage tank, ion exchanging tower and other equipments.

一、 epoxy, furan, polyester, phenolic aldehyde liner: epoxy, furan, polyester and phenolic aldehyde liner are molded by hands. Choose different materials according to the different temperature. Characteristic: strong viscidity, low cost, simple technique, good corrosion protection, uniformity color and luster, good entirety, aging enduring, grinding enduring, clash resistant, press bearing. No matter metal surface or concrete surface, spurt and brush base coat with the epoxy while applying the epoxy, furan, polyester and phenolic aldehyde liner, thus the base felt will be more fastness. Physical performance: compressive strength 3000kg/cm2.shock strength 265kg/cm2. This liner is widely used in chemical engineering pharmacy, electric factory, communication, metallurgy, shipbuilding and other industries’ mitigate corrosion and leaking repair engineering.
二、 rubber sheet liningRubber sheet lining is to underlay the required rubber board on the metal equipment, and then through fuming sulphuric acid. it is formed to be ripe rubber sheet lining. Partition the medium and kinds of surfaces in order to antisepticise, which can endure the normal strong acid, organic acid, alkali solution or salt solution. Physical performance: tensile strength 240-300kg/cm2, relatively elongation 550—650%. Perpetuity distortion 20—30%.It will not erode in 36% content hydrochloric acid’s long time action under 80℃. The most prominent advantage of the rubber sheet lining is conquering the disadvantage of metal’s inner stress distortion. The layer will not delaminate and the viscosity is strong. It is an indispensable anticorrosive lining in chemical industry, pharmacy, colored metallurgy, food machining and other industries.
三、 resin mortar used to smear and build the block material and color sewSmearing and building the block material and color sew with resin mortar is to smear and build tile, porcelain board, pottery board, casting board and bar marble etc with the resin mortar on the concrete sand oar or metal surface. The material technique is that: firstly, smear a layer of epoxy on the base surface; then smear and build with the resin mortar after drying. The characteristics are high temperature enduring, resistance to acid, resistance to alkali, strong viscosity and multi layer smearing permitted. It is mainly used in chemical engineering, pharmacy, metallurgy and other industries’ corrosion protection engineering.

FRP corrosion resistant storage tank

* resistance to chemical attack, long operating life: FRP has special corrosion resistant characteristic. The FRP display unparalleled superiority to other material while storing the corrosive medium. It can endure kinds of acid, alkali, salt and organic solution.
* neatly design, excellent structure performance of tank wall: fiber twisted FRP can change the resin system or strengthen material. Adjust the storage tank’s carrying power by the thickness of structure level, twist angle and wall thickness’ structure and design. Then produce different pressure grade or special performance FRP storage tank and nonstandard equipments. It is different from metal material.
二、 Main producing techniques

Make liner (for example the corrosion protection liner) in the mandrel according to the requirement while controlled by computer. Twist the construct layer according to the well designed type of line and thickness after the glue coagulated. At last, make the outside protecting layer.

Construction project of concrete with FRP liner
According to the user’s technique condition, this project works out definitude requirement for the material selecting, construction and checking of the engineering.
Material selecting and explanation primary coat resin: select CP95# ethylene resin (produced by Taiwan Shangwei Fine Chemical Engineering Corporation)

Explanation of the material quality: CP95# ethylene resin is the special primary coat transition resin for the concrete with FRP liner, which has strong caking property with the concrete and replaces the former epoxy

Corrosion protection layer: select the MFE-2# ethylene resin (Science and Engineering University of Shanghai) as the surface smear resin. Select the ethylene MFE-2# as the air hardener.

Explanation of the material quality: MFE-2# is the ethylene resin. Corrosion resistant performance: hydrochloric acid (31%), sodium hydroxide (30%), sodium hypochlorite (effective chlorine 17%). Endure the temperature under 60℃.

Fiber selecting: no alkali short felt 450g, glass surface felt 30g(produced by fiberglass filiale of Jinniu company)

Construction technique
Build the falsework, spread footplate and fix it
Checkout the inner surface: eliminate the concrete leavings on the inner surface.
Inner surface disposition: polish the inner surface with the electric tool in order to get rid of the bulgy part. Clean the dust and guarantee the clean of inner surface.
Smear the under coat: smear an even CP95# resin on the concrete clean surface, construct the next process after the concreting.
Repair the layer: the concave pit in the inner surface should be filled by resin paint filler. Prevent the appearing of inanition bubble while making the FRP lamination.
Produce the corrosion protection layer: Adopt a layer of no alkali short felt and layer of glass surface felt. The fiber should be whole saturated. Eject the FRP bubbles and smooth the surface.
Smear the surface coat: After the solidify of the corrosion protection layer, polish the burr using the polishing machine, then smear an even layer of resin that is added 3% content air hardener.
Check criterion and check and accept
Provide the rude material’s eligible certificate and check report
Inner surface disposition is according to the concrete basic disposition and check in GB50212-2002.
Inner surface’s check: the inner surface should be flat, clean, no impurity, no outside extending fiber, no eyeballing seeable crack and delamination.

The construct project of iron tank liner

Metal surface pretreatment

(1) Polish the tank and conical head and remove rust using the electromotion grinding wheel, steel wire brush and emery cloth. If the rust is serious or there is oil smear, we should use the sand-blastto to remove the rust.

(2) acidwashing or sand-blast(quartz sand)

Render and scrape the paint filler: smear and brush the base coat of epoxy.

Smear the layer to strengthen: smear the layer by hand after the dry of the base coat. The glass cloth border should be scissor. The glass cloth should be saturated and pressed. The joint’s stagger should smaller than 50mm.
One layer of epoxy, four layers of glass cloth and two layers of structure resin short felt smear salternately with the two layers of structure resin and four layers of cloth.
Layers’ smear of the inner liner: there are one layer of inner liner epoxy , four layers of glass cloth, one layer of inner liner epoxy’s short felt and one layer of inner liner epoxy’s surface felt. Smear and brush a layer of dope (250f/m2 inner liner resin) after the dry of glue. The inner resin and surface dope are food resin.

The liner of the iron tank’s using life is 3-5 years, and it should be used continuously or it will plump.

Construction technique of the carbolic steel ball tank’s inner liner--FRP

1. Open the up and down manholes of the tank, install the fan and change the air in the tank in order to guarantee the ventilation.

2. Build the falsework.

3. Examine the roughness of the base metal. The welding line on the surface should be plat, and no welding residue, burr, air hole etc.. The turning transition’s radius should be larger than 10mm.

4. Polish the inner wall up to AS2.5 using the sand-blast. There should not be seeable grease, dirt, oxide, rust and other deposit builder. Any remaining trace should only be the spotted state or striated light color spot.

5. dedusting: clean the sand grain and dust on the wall with the compressed air, hair brush or cloth.

6. ground coat: brush an even primary resin coat resin on the clean carbon steel. The use level is about 200g.Construct the next process after the coagulation.

7. Corrosion protection transition layer: brush a layer of Japan unsaturated resin, glass surface felt (30g/m2), fiberglass short felt (450g/m2) and unsaturated resin. The fiber must be whole saturated. The bubble should be removed by the press roll’s pressing. Burnish and polish after the solidification. The thickness is 1.1mm.

8.Corrosion protection layer: On the transition layer, the Japan unsaturated resin, short felt (450g/m2) and glass surface felt (30g/m2) are used as the Corrosion protection layer. Spread the layer as two felt and two surfaces. The fiber must be whole saturated. The bubble should be removed by the press roll’s pressing. Burnish and polish after the solidification. The thickness is 2.2 mm.

9. Inner surface layer: after the solidification of the Corrosion protection layer, Polish with the buffing machine, remove the burr and brush a layer of Japan unsaturated plus material resin. The use level is about 200g. The thickness is 0.1mm.

10. inner surface: repeat the operation in step 9, and brush a layer of Japan unsaturated resin. Add 3-5% content’s air hardener. The use level is about 200g. The thickness is 0.1mm.

11.After all of the process are conducted, check the thickness using the calibrator. The final thin thickness should not be smaller than 87.5% of the designed thickness (equal to or bigger than 3mm). Repair the part whose thickness is less than 3mm until reaching the designed one.

12. Electric spark and electric discharge’s check: When checking out any needle holes, bubble or any other flaw, we should polish a big enough area to recoat and relay the material until reaching the standard.

13. flange’s flatness error should be less than 0.3mm.

Matters need attention in the construction:

Step 4,5,6,7 should be finished in one day.
The conjoining part’s overlapping length on every layer must be more than 50mm.The distance of every layer’s conjoining position must be more than 100mm.

(3) Stop construct while the relative moisture of the air is more tan 80%.

(4) The deposited steel construction’s surface cannot be polluted a second time. When the surface is polluted again, it should have a surface treatment again.

5) Keep good lighten and aeration during construction. Keep less operators and change frequently. Change the operators every 2 hours. The resin should be less prepared and frequently prepared.
